Simon Cecchin Birk was born and raised in Copenhagen by Danish-Italian parents. He has a MA in Italian language and culture from the University of Copenhagen, where is currently employed as a PhD Fellow. 

Simon is a self-taught documentary photographer. Most of his photographs are candid. All of them are black and white. He occasionally exibits his work, sell prints and accepts select assignments.
